Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2325.60/week
Completion Bonus: $2500 per contract (up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking a Chemo-Certified Oncology Registered Nurse for a 16-week travel assignment on an adult hematology-oncology med-surg unit. This role focuses on the care of patients with complex oncologic and hematologic conditions including chemotherapy administration and management of treatment-related complications. Nurses must be comfortable with telemetry blood product administration and central line/port management. Epic charting experience is required. Floating to other oncology and med-surg oncology units is expected based on census and staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to adult hematology and oncology patients
- Administer chemotherapy and related medications per protocol
- Manage central lines PICCs and implanted ports
- Administer blood and blood products safely
- Monitor and respond to oncologic emergencies and treatment reactions
- Perform telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Provide IV therapy phlebotomy support and line care
- Support infection prevention and fall-reduction protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary oncology care teams
- Document all patient care in Epic EMR
- Float to other med-surg oncology units as required
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact) required at submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Recent inpatient oncology experience required
- Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with chemotherapy administration required
- Experience with blood products ports and central line care required
- Telemetry skills and rhythm interpretation required
- Must meet recent specialty experience requirements
