As a DT Technician you will provide practical support to teaching staff and students to facilitate high-quality DT lessons. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing materials tools and equipment for practical lessons across all areas of DT.
Assisting teachers during practical sessions including supporting students with the safe use of machinery and tools.
Maintaining organising and checking the condition of equipment workshops and resources.
Supporting health and safety compliance in the workshops including the safe handling and storage of tools materials and chemicals.
Assisting with project setups displays and departmental events.
Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required to ensure continuity of lessons.
Previous experience as a DT Technician workshop assistant or similar practical role.
Knowledge of practical DT techniques tools and machinery.
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
Organised reliable and proactive with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
