The Role

As an Art Technician you will provide practical and technical support to teaching staff and students to ensure the smooth delivery of lessons. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing materials equipment and resources for practical Art lessons.

• Supporting teachers during lessons and assisting students with practical activities.

• Maintaining organising and managing Art resources including storage of materials and tools.

• Assisting with the setup and installation of student work for displays and exhibitions.

• Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines including safe handling of paints chemicals and tools.

• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed to maintain resources.

• Supporting departmental projects events and creative initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with art materials and techniques ideally in a school or creative environment.

• Organised proactive and reliable with strong attention to detail.

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to practical Art lessons.

• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support staff and students effectively.

• Enthusiasm for supporting creativity and learning in a school setting.
