Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils in developing practical skills and creative ideas
Preparing pupils for GCSE and potentially A-Level Art examinations
Organising and supervising practical projects and ensuring resources are available
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to departmental curriculum planning and development
Supporting extracurricular activities exhibitions and enrichment opportunities
Maintaining a positive inspiring and inclusive classroom environment
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge and practical skills in Art
Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with A-Level experience desirable
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
Work collaboratively within the department and wider school community
Be committed to ongoing professional development
