About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach A-Level depending on experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing practical skills and creative ideas

• Preparing pupils for GCSE and potentially A-Level Art examinations

• Organising and supervising practical projects and ensuring resources are available

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

• Contributing to departmental curriculum planning and development

• Supporting extracurricular activities exhibitions and enrichment opportunities

• Maintaining a positive inspiring and inclusive classroom environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge and practical skills in Art

• Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with A-Level experience desirable

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities

• Work collaboratively within the department and wider school community

• Be committed to ongoing professional development
