We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join a vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Brighton and Hove. This is an exciting opportunity to support a thriving art department and contribute to an inspiring creative environment.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality art lessons by preparing materials maintaining equipment and assisting with practical activities. You will play a key role in ensuring that the department is well organised safe and fully equipped to support student creativity.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for art and a strong understanding of materials and techniques. You will work closely with teaching staff and students supporting a wide range of artistic activities and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and organise art materials and equipment
Support practical lessons and student projects
Maintain art studios and ensure health and safety compliance
Assist with displays and exhibitions
Manage stock and order supplies
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons
Requirements
Degree or experience in Art or a related discipline
Experience working in a school or creative environment (desirable)
Strong practical knowledge of art materials and techniques
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Commitment to supporting student creativity
