The Role

As an Art Technician you will provide practical and technical support to ensure the smooth running of the Art Department. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing materials tools and resources for practical Art lessons across all key stages.

• Supporting teachers and students during lessons offering guidance on safe and effective use of materials.

• Maintaining and organising Art equipment supplies and storage areas.

• Assisting with displays exhibitions and departmental projects including installation of student work.

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations including the safe handling of paints chemicals and equipment.

• Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed to maintain a fully resourced department.

• Supporting departmental events workshops and creative initiatives as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a practical art or technician role ideally within a school environment.

• Strong knowledge of Art materials tools and health and safety procedures.

• Organised reliable and proactive with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.

• Enthusiasm for supporting student creativity and learning.
