As a member of the team the Principal Analyst leads initiatives with diverse scope and complexity acting as the primary interface between end users product management and the systems organization. Our Analysts collaborate with business partners to assess complex business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. We work with business practitioners such as Portfolio Managers Senior Management and Attribution Analysts in defining analytical approaches to solving business requests. Finally we support our teams dedication to quality by crafting and implementing tests that address business needs and ensure the delivery of solutions to our end users.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
A Bachelors degree preferably in Business Finance Accounting Information Technology or Management Information Systems
A minimum of five years of related experience in Financial Services with demonstrated understanding of investment instruments and financial markets experience preferred.
Experience with asset management back-office operations mutual fund accounting multi-layered fund structures as well as working knowledge of derivatives a plus.
Must be able to analyze complex and ambiguous issues recommending creative solutions with clear and concise presentations
A self-starter and excellent team member who is independent collaborative and can work with minimum supervision
Proven expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques including data analysis use case development story writing user acceptance testing and product documentation.

The Team
The Business Unit: Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
