Technical Claim Manager - Executive Liability/D&O/EPL
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Claim Manager specializing in Executive Liability Directors & Officers (D&O) and Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims. This hybrid role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic collaborative environment emphasizing proactive claim management legal expertise and delivering exceptional results.
Salary: $120K - $160K bonus
Location: Chicago / New York
Work Model: Hybrid / 2 3 days in
- Proactively handle claims to ensure the best results by resolving them fairly efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Assess coverage issues and send appropriate coverage letters or documentation within the required timeframes.
- Perform prompt investigations and set aside proper reserves for claims.
- Oversee and manage outside counsel on litigated claims.
- Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with established best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Juris Doctor required.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of claim handling and/or comparable legal experience with a focus on Primary and Excess Directors & Officers Fiduciary and Employment Practices Liability claims.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong ability to proactively investigate manage claims and oversee attorney performance.
- Superior communication skills to effectively collaborate with insureds underwriters and claimants.
