Job Summary

Job Description:

Power Plant Technicians/Sr. Techniciansperform preventive and corrective maintenance troubleshooting and operation of mechanical electrical or I&C equipment (boilers turbines pumps generators PLC systems) to ensure safe efficient operation. Senior technicians lead repairs diagnose complex failures manage safety protocols and oversee juniors/contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair:Execute routine maintenance troubleshooting and overhaul of rotating equipment (pumps turbines) and static equipment (valves piping).
Operational Support:Monitor equipment detect anomalies make adjustments and support start-up/shutdown procedures.
Electrical/I&C Specifics:Install and maintain high/low voltage systems transformers circuit breakers and control systems (PLCs instrumentation).
Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to permit-to-work (PTW) systems Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety regulations.
Documentation & Reporting:Document maintenance activities in CMMS and report operational issues.
Leadership (Senior Only):Coach junior technicians coordinate with operators and plan maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Education:Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience:Generally 37 years for Senior roles specifically in thermal/gas power plants.
Skills:Strong technical knowledge of plant equipment troubleshooting and safety protocols.

Work Environment

Shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
Exposure to high noise heat and hazardous machinery.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
