Overview:
The states health insurance marketplace seeks Applications Programmers to design develop test and maintain emerging software applications supporting HBX and related systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop test and maintain web applications and APIs using Python and modern frameworks.
- Support development of RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Contribute to data processing automation and AI assisted workflows.
- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean maintainable and secure code.
- Develop and execute unit tests; assist with integration testing.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development/test environments.
- Adhere to all security PMO change control and service delivery policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional software development experience (internships count).
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience developing/consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL MySQL) and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Git JIRA and Agile practices.
- Solid understanding of object oriented programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years with Python frameworks (FastAPI Flask Django).
- Exposure to AI/ML libraries (Pandas NumPy Scikit learn TensorFlow PyTorch).
- Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI AWS AI Azure AI).
- Workflow automation scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Microservices and containerization (Docker).
- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions GitLab CI Jenkins).
- API security/authentication (OAuth2 JWT).
- Exposure to front end technologies (JavaScript React Angular).
- Experience with public facing data driven applications.
