Job Description:
The main function of a data engineer is to ensure that the data assets of an organization are supported by an architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goal.
Positions Contributions to Work Group:
- A typical data engineer is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases data integration and the means to get to the data.
Typical task breakdown:
- Direct developers and analysts to make changes to existing pipelines databases and data processes including providing direction in coding logical data objects.
- Execute investigations and provide analysis to help drive insights in design.

Interaction with team:
Within the team theres about 19 folks in the US and open project teams data architects and solution leads interaction with data engineering teams and service and application teams. Working with business/product groups.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree in computer programming or a relevant field required.
- 10 years experience required.
Required Technical Skills
(Required)
- Expert knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling.
- Expert knowledge of computer software such as SQL Snowflake etc.
Soft Skills
(Required)
- Verbal and written communication skills problem solving skills customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Expert ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
