They manufacture and sell a complete line of aftermarket parts specialty door parts and accessories for all major manufacturers of loading dock equipment. The corporate headquarters is located in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin and houses research and development a technical support call center manufacturing along a distribution facility.They are on the hunt for a Logistics Supervisor. This is a role within Multi-Fabs Operations and Supply Chain group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Manage tasks within warehouse management system to ensure orders are scheduled and shipped correctly throughout the day and purchase orders are received correctly and (ii) Manage 3 PL and parcel relationship including negotiating rates developing and managing KPIs regular business reviews and ensuring the voice of the customer expectations internally and externally are met or exceeded. Requires 5 years of experience working in implementing/supporting logistics network inhouse2 years of supervisory experience and a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business Information MFPs Supply Chain Management or related field required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Manage tasks within warehouse management system to ensure orders are scheduled and shipped correctly throughout the day and purchase orders are received correctly
- Manage 3 PL and parcel relationship including negotiating rates developing and managing KPIs regular business reviews and ensuring the voice of the customer expectations internally and externally are met or exceeded
- Recommend revisions to standard operating procedures and standardized work based on improvements and changes in the business
- Establish root cause for process deviations to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
- Manage associates to ensure safety and service objectives are met while ensuring cost and asset utilization are met
- Implement for all improve initiatives in order to improve safety quality delivery and cost
- Advise team manage and create strategic plans for activities dealing with shipping and receiving activities and creating a strategic plan that can be implemented to achieve goals and objectives
- Manage first and secondary-level internal support and serves as back-up point of contact for Receiving and shipping
- Manage design documentation optimization and implementation of receiving shipping and material handling procedures
- Manage Receiving and Shipping Leads during physical inventory to ensure proper procedures are followed and accurate updates are made to inventory
- Collaborate with Receiving and Shipping Leads to prepare and provide assistance during internal and external inventory audits; apply lean concepts in relation to system and inventory continuous improvement initiatives Kaizens and Gemba Walks; champion system changes and inventory control integrity improvements; provide coaching and mentoring to Inventory management team and other systems analysts
- Drive and maintain forklift certification
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Groups and Multi-Fabs reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reading professional publications establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
Supervision Exercised - Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting developing engaging and retaining team members
- Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations monitoring and evaluating performance providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the companys policies
- Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings one-on-one meetings appropriate email IM and regular interpersonal communications
- Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CG mission vision and values.
Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: - Bachelors Degree in Business Information Systems Supply Chain Management or related field required
Experience: - 5 years of experience working in implementing/supporting logistics network inhouse
- 2 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Ability to use an ERP/MRP system
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications Experience: - 5 years of experience working in a supervisor role
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of WMS and/or TMS Systems
