Job Overview

Tekberry is seeking a Coating Utility I (Chamber) to support production operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role assists with machine setup/teardown material movement documentation and cleanroom support to ensure safe and efficient coating operations.

This is a production-floor role - not a laboratory technician position - and focuses on supporting operators maintaining workflows and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Important Requirement: This is a DOD/ITAR-controlled facility. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons and able to comply with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities Production Support

Assist with material handling including staging components and replenishing supplies
Prepare machines and workstations (basic setup cleaning loading materials)
Support machine setup and teardown procedures
Ensure tools and parts are available to maintain production flow

Documentation & Administrative Tasks

Enter work order and inventory data into production systems
Maintain accurate production logs and compliance records
Update status boards and documentation as needed

Logistics & Inventory

Move finished goods and components between work areas
Coordinate with shipping/receiving for material transfers
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits

Quality & Compliance

Perform visual inspections for defects or contamination
Ensure materials meet labeling and cleanliness requirements
Follow ISO/GMP procedures where applicable
Report quality or safety concerns immediately

Safety & Cleanroom Operations

Follow all PPE and cleanroom protocols
Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas
Properly dispose of waste materials
Use hand tools (Allen keys screwdrivers wrenches sandblasting tools)

Team Support

Shadow experienced operators to learn SOPs
Assist in training new team members
Support continuous improvement activities and special projects

Must-Have Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
1 3 years of manufacturing or production experience
Ability to follow written work instructions and checklists
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime as needed
U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person (required DOD/ITAR compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting machine setup and teardown
Cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environment experience
Sandblasting or general mechanical tool experience
Experience with basic inspections or quality checks

Work Environment

Cleanroom manufacturing environment
PPE required (safety shoes safety glasses gloves cleanroom garments face mask)
Frequent standing and walking
Exposure to production equipment and controlled manufacturing processes
