Job Summary

Position Title: Lab Technician (Compound Hub Specialist)

Location: Cambridge MA (Onsite)
Shift Timing: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Compound Processing & Order Management

Handle new compound orders and process inventory requests.
Weigh solid samples using an analytical balance within a weigh hood to prepare solutions for internal customers (chemists and biologists).
Utilize the Tecan Liquid Handler to process compound orders efficiently and accurately.
Load processed products onto an automated sorting system for delivery to local domestic and international recipients.

Sample & Inventory Management

Receive samples from internal and external sources.
Ensure daily service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
Collaborate with scientific staff to prioritize urgent and high-value orders.
Maintain accurate inventory and support logistics management.

Customer Interaction & Service

Communicate directly with customers to understand requirements.
Address inquiries and provide updates on order fulfillment.
Maintain strong professional relationships with scientific teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline.
Experience working in a scientific laboratory environment.
Knowledge of compound inventory management solution preparation quality control and logistics.
Experience with laboratory robotics and ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Self-motivated organized and customer-focused.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and related software tools.

Preferred Experience

6 18 months of relevant experience in a similar laboratory or compound management role.
Familiarity with laboratory automation systems such as:
- Tecan EVO
- Biomicrolab Volume Checker
- Biomicrolab Tube Sorter
Service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
