We are currently recruiting for multiple Casual Registered and Enrolled Nurse positions offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to work across our Medical Surgical and Rehabilitation Units. You will become an integral member of a nursing team providing holistic patient care in collaboration with our medical professionals and the allied health teams for patients at St John of God Berwick their families and significant care will be guided by a working knowledge of hospital policies including OH&S Infection Control Waste management and Quality Improvement.

The Position
Assesses plans delivers and evaluates patient care involving the patient in care decisions where possible.
Promotes and contributes to effective communication facilitating teamwork and cooperation within both the department and throughout the hospital.
Work within scope of practice and seeking support from senior nurses when required.
Contributes to the achievement of Hospital operational objectives.
Participate in patient assessments including risk assessment and management history taking and developing comprehensive nursing care plans. Ensuring risks are documented patient education is provided and appropriate interventions referrals are facilitated.
Documents care provided concisely and accurately
Administer medication in accordance with scope of practice statutory and organisational guidelines
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse and have a minimum of 12 months recent experience in an acute care setting (excluding any placement hours) working across medical and/ or surgical units.
An understanding of rehabilitation nursing in addition to Medical and/ or Surgical experience will be well regarded. You will demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits
Registered nurse Salary: $53.90 to $68.03 per hours (casual loading included) plus 12% superannuation
Enrolled nurse Salary: $45.64 to $50.74 per hours (casual loading included) plus 12% superannuation
