FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
Pay: $17.50/hr.

Job Summary

The Processing Technician 1 is responsible for the processing of fresh and dry herbs. These duties may include but are not limited to milling raw herbs mixing herbs with solvents to make macerate pressing and filtering extracts compounding monitoring production equipment. Assigned tasks must be performed in a safe and sanitary manner following all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) thereby contributing to an overall successful operation and growth of the organization!

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing tasks of grinding raw herbs pressing & filtering and stirring & shaking extracts
  • Ability to mix herbs with solvents according to prescribed formulary.
  • Responsible for completing data entry and documentation.
  • Ensures all equipment is operating optimally.
  • Ability to detect issues and troubleshoot.
  • Responsible for completing accurate documentation and data entry.
  • Promotes a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs.
  • Ensures a safe work environment by following and enforcing all safety rules maintaining strong safety awareness and participating in required safety training and meetings.
  • Fosters teamwork and collaboration.
  • Completes projects and ensures compliance with health safety and environmental policies.
  • Communicates all items of concern process improvement recommendations and the need for additional resources to management.

Required Education and Experience

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 6 months of related experience in manufacturing
  • OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with database management systems
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills in situations with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret written verbal diagrammatic and schedule-based instructions
  • Clear and organized verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed and responsive
  • Strong mathematical aptitude including calculations involving discounts percentages proportions and basic algebra
  • Ability to read and interpret company procedures safety guidelines and technical manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and practical reasoning to real-world scenarios
  • Proven capability to manage multiple variables and shifting priorities in a structured environment

Working Conditions

  • Work Environment: This position operates inside of a production facility. The work environment can be noisy conditions may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces.
  • Travel Requirements: None.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for long periods of time must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per day. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination.
