Medical Technologist (MT) General Lab

This is a MAST union position
This position has a $7500 sign on bonus for eligible candidates.

How youll contribute
AMedical Technologist who excels in this role:
Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.
Essential Functions Additional Information
Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients.
Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic Clinical Insurance Financial Complete Medical Record.
Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.
Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting computer/data entry and equipment handling; occasional standing walking and light lifting.
Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards including blood and bodily fluids hazardous medications and latex.

What were looking for
Minimum Education Bachelors degree
Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Valid driver license
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP); ASCP or equivalent registry
