Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to oversee all HR functions for our garments manufacturing unit. The role involves managing workforce planning statutory compliance employee relations recruitment payroll coordination and factory HR operations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the textile/garments manufacturing industry and strong knowledge of labor laws applicable to factory setups.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning
Manage end-to-end recruitment for factory staff supervisors merchandisers quality controllers and corporate roles.
Plan manpower requirements as per production targets.
Coordinate with department heads for timely hiring.
2. Payroll & Compliance
Oversee payroll processing in coordination with accounts team.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as PF ESIC Bonus Gratuity Minimum Wages etc.
Maintain statutory registers and HR documentation.
Liaise with government authorities when required.
3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Handle worker grievances and disciplinary matters.
Maintain harmonious industrial relations.
Conduct employee engagement activities and welfare programs.
Ensure adherence to factory rules and company policies.
4. Training & Development
Identify training needs for workers and staff.
Conduct induction programs and skill development initiatives.
Monitor performance appraisal processes.
5. Policy Implementation & HR Administration
Develop and implement HR policies aligned with company goals.
Maintain employee records and documentation.
Monitor attendance leave management and overtime records.
Ensure compliance with safety and workplace standards.
Qualifications & Experience
MBA / PGDM in HR or MSW (HR specialization).
6–10 years of HR experience preferably in garments / textile / manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and factory compliance.
Experience handling blue-collar workforce.
Familiarity with payroll software and HRMS systems.
Key Skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
Good communication skills (local language preferred).
Strong documentation and compliance knowledge.
Ability to manage large workforce efficiently.
