The Infotainment & AI department is responsible for innovating and evolving the in-vehicle infotainment system for US customers with the ambition to deliver a best-in-class market-leading infotainment experience. By combining software platforms AI capabilities and customer-centric design the department drives differentiation and customer satisfaction across the Mercedes-Benz portfolio.
The Senior Data Scientist (MFO) focuses on generating market-specific insights from infotainment usage and customer data to inform product experience and business decisions in the US market. This role partners closely with Product Management QM UX and Engineering to translate data into actionable recommendations that measurably improve the infotainment experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze infotainment usage behavior and experience data for the US market
Develop metrics KPIs dashboards and analyses to track infotainment performance and customer satisfaction
Support experimentation pilots and feature evaluations through data analysis
Partner with Experience PMs and UX to inform decisions with quantitative insights
Identify patterns anomalies and opportunities in large complex data sets
Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ensure data quality consistency and adherence to governance standards
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data tools processes and methodologies
Role is embedded in the Market & Field Organization (MFO) with close proximity to US stakeholders
Job responsibilities may evolve based on business needs
Occasional travel may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
5 years of relevant work experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
Ability to manage multiple analytical tasks and priorities
Experience working in cross-functional product-focused teams
Strong communication skills and stakeholder orientation
Comfortable working across cultures time zones and organizations
Standing and sitting for long periods of time
Ability to get in and out of test and production vehicles as needed
Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with customer-facing digital products or infotainment systems
Familiarity with experimentation A/B testing or causal analysis
Exposure to AI/ML models used in product or experience optimization
Experience working in a market-facing or regional organization (MFO)
Experience in automotive mobility or consumer technology domains
