Senior Data Engineer

The Role

As part of continued growth a new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer. As a member of the Science Research Technology team this individual will help design build and scale data-driven solutions for the Science Analysts especially in the Equity space.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Science
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows using tools such as Airflow Glue or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms especially AWS (S3 Lambda Batch).
• Experience with one or more modern data architectures (Snowflake DataBricks Fabric).
• Strong understanding of data modeling data warehousing data governance and metadata management best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Gitbased workflows containerization (Docker) and modern software engineering practices.
• Handson experience developing deploying and testing solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong experience debugging optimizing and performancetuning highvolume data pipelines.
• Financialservices data domain expertise is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with crossfunctional teams including data scientists researchers and business partners.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and deliver in fastpaced missioncritical settings.
• Proactive problem solver who can independently drive solutions endtoend.
• 5 years of experience

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary variable compensation and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 90000 - 180000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salaryis only one component of Wellingtons total compensation approach.
