AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client an established internation organization with roots in WNY (located in the South Towns) is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity with room for professional development. This role reports directly to the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cost-effective automation and manufacturing systems including but not limited to industrial controls robotics material handling RFID automated assembly etc.
- Analyze current systems to design create and implement improvements in manufacturing operations
- Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and production yield
- Research and present new automation technology and equipment identifying benefits and positive outcomes that would result from its implementation
- Participate in the purchase of such equipment/technology ensuring unique specifications are met
- Collaborate with internal and external team members on various engineering and operations projects to ensure successful completion under tight deadlines
- Troubleshoot equipment issues provide valuable insight into problems offer clear solutions
- Participate in the implementation of new equipment/technology to reduce the impact on continuing production
- Complete special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- Up to 10% travel possible when researching new systems
- $95000 - $140000 annually depending on experience sign-on bonus

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related Technical field required
- 5-7 years experience in industrial automation control systems & robotics programming
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems/software automation technology and electromechanical systems
- Control system software PLC programming and SCADA experience required
- Excellent computer skills: CAD systems Siemens NX Ignition Fanuc Rockwell Automation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation assistance available for anyone outside of 50 miles of facility
