Job Summary
Position Title
Position Summary / Career Interest:
Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs technical skills under the direction of the nurse.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Assist with appropriate patient care and interventions as delegated by the nurse
- Report outcomes and changes in patient condition to the nurse
- Collaborate with the nurse in the plan of care
- Report observations regarding effectiveness of intervention to the nurse
- Communicate effectively with patient family physicians and health care team
- Apply safety and infection control measures
- Documentation of patient care provided in the clinical record.
- Continuing education as assigned.
- Must be able to perform the professional clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- Actively enrolled in a professional nursing education program and has completied a fundamentals of nursing course
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Less than 1 year recent experience in an acute care setting.
Required Licensure and Certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
