Key Responsibilities (What Youll Do)
- Manage and support core benefit programs including Leaves of Absence Employee Accommodations Workers Compensation and Tuition Reimbursement.
- Partner with the Corporate Benefits team to administer programs such as open enrollment new hire orientation and compliance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations including FLSA ERISA ACA and other applicable laws.
- Oversee accurate leave tracking and payroll reporting collaborating closely with HR Operations to ensure proper deductions and documentation.
- Analyze Hearst Magazinesspecific benefits offerings to assess competitiveness equity and overall value.
- Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers providing guidance on benefits policies and processes with clarity and professionalism.
Qualifications (What Were Looking For)
- 35 years of experience in benefits management and administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal state and local labor laws related to employee benefits.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Excel; experience with Oracle and data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear and thoughtful communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in the New York City office.

The base salary for this role is between $90000 - $110000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as: transferable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
