Summary of Position

Jabil Design Services is seeking a Validation Engineer Intern to assist with the setup and screening of customer server configurations. The intern will gain a real-world understanding of industry use cases while helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness into the JDS validation process. By the end of internship he or she will gain hands-on experience with server hardware firmware and operating systems as well as infrastructure (switch/storage) management.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

Server hardware installation
Firmware and software configuration
Networking / Infrastructure maintenance
Test case execution
Defect reporting tracking and validation
Status reporting

Qualifications

Major(s): IT Computer Engineering / CET Electrical Engineering Computer Science or similar

Class Year(s): Rising Sophomore Rising Junior Rising Senior

GPA: Min 3.0

Knowledge of hardware components
Familiarity with UEFI and BMC
Linux and Windows familiarity
Basic networking skills
Scripting Python Bash etc.
Effective Communication
Self-starter Ability to drive work
Leadership Skills: Agility Building Trusting Relationships Decision Making Skills & Resilience
