Service Sales Engineer
Job Summary
Kongsberg Maritimes Power Systems - is looking for a Service Sales Engineer to sell and manage service deliveries for our global sailing fleet ranging from field service jobs and planned maintenance to dockings and minor upgrades.
About the role
In this role you will take commercial responsibility for service cases from first customer dialogue to execution and financial result. You will work with services where customer focus structure and commercial judgement are key supported by strong technical expertise within the organization.
You will become part of our Global Customer Support organization working in a collaborative and informal environment with close connection to daily operations and real customer challenges often with high urgency and visibility.
You will collaborate closely with:
- Technical Support Engineers
- Engineering and product specialists
- Field Service Engineers in the field and at shipyards
- Purchasing planning and warehouse functions
- Colleagues across our global service network
You will have ownership of your own cases while being supported by experienced technical and operational colleagues.
The role covers aftermarket services for our full portfolio of electrification drives and energy storage solutions for marine applications.
You will not be expected to master the technical details alone. Strong technical teams are in place allowing you to focus on coordinating the right solutions and creating value for our customers.
What you will be doing
- Sell and manage complete services ranging from field service jobs and planned maintenance docking activities to minor upgrades lifecycle improvements and service packages including relevant spares
- Own the commercial responsibility for service cases from quotation to completion ensuring profitability and customer value
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with technical support engineering and field service engineers throughout sales and execution
- Ensure structured handovers execution follow-up and high-quality delivery
- Maintain extensive customer communication and close cooperation with our Global Customer Support teams worldwide
- Contribute to continuous improvement of service offerings processes and ways of working
Who we are looking for
You may come from a background within sales service project-oriented roles or engineering. What matters most is your commercial mindset curiosity and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
We believe you have:
- Experience or motivation for customer-oriented technical or commercial roles
- Curiosity and willingness to learn in a technical environment
- Ability to structure work prioritize and follow up
- Confidence in owning cases and driving them forward
- Good communication skills in English written and spoken
