About the role:

Position: Accounting Advanced Analyst

Location: Bulgaria - Hybrid - (1 day per week at the office)

Division: Integrated Accounting Services Finance

The Accounting Analyst will prepare monthly financial reports quarterly SEC schedules and other financial schedules or analyses as assigned on a global level but not limited to the following:

Perform regular general ledger responsibilities including journal entries review of expenses accruals etc. and complete monthly account reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items with the flexibility to work across time zones
Assist with month-end closing activities and escalate delays as needed
Assist with the completion of work requirements for all external internal and special audits
Support junior staff in timely and accurate completion of assigned close activities and resolve issues as needed; Review and approve journal entries Balance sheet reconciliations and any other deliverables as assigned
Support senior staff in providing feedback received from Segment / BU / Corporate Controllership and promote continuous development within the accounting team
Be able to lead in group discussions and present feedback to management
Make recommendations and lead improvements in processes and/or quality of information reported and assists with implementation of action plans
Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned

Education / Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience
Preferred Masters degree in accounting or any other advanced accounting degree

Experience and knowledge;

3 years of business experience within Accounting with increasing responsibility; Experience within shared service centers and matrix organizational structures is required
Professional certification and advanced Accounting degree will be considered as an advantage
Adhere to a pro-active approach with the ability to problem solve and interact professionally with internal and external clients in order to meet everyones needs in an effective and timely manner
Demonstrate ability to plan multi-task and prioritize
Proficient in Excel and Word (intermediate level)
Previous experience with ERP system (PeopleSoft preferred)
Problem solving skills
Proven track for improvements in processes or control environment
Experience working with a global team
Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control environments
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with large amounts of data
