As a Locum MD in Radiation Oncology you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiation treatment to patients while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. This role is vital in ensuring our patients receive the best care and support throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations and assessments to determine radiation therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer radiation treatments while monitoring patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with oncologists and other specialists in patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology and treatment techniques
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology preferred
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Prior experience in radiation oncology as a resident or practicing physician
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts 4 days per week

Must be board-certified
