Job Title: Trust & Estate Attorney Location: Orange California Job Type: Full-Time Direct Hire 100% Onsite (Monday – Friday) Position Overview We are seeking a Tax & Estate Attorney with approximately 3–5 years of experience in advanced estate planning trust and estate taxation and administration matters. This role supports high-net-worth clients and offers strong long-term career growth and professional development opportunities. Key Responsibilities - Advise clients on advanced estate trust gift and income tax planning strategies
- Draft and structure estate planning instruments including:
- Revocable living trusts
- Irrevocable gift trusts
- GRATs IDGTs and SLATs
- Manage trust administration for high-net-worth clients
- Provide fiduciary guidance and beneficiary communications
- Conduct legal research and draft technical tax memoranda
- Oversee fiduciary gift and trust tax compliance processes
- Handle estate administration including asset identification and transfer coordination
- Manage uncontested probate administration matters
- Collaborate with CPAs financial advisors and wealth planning professionals
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-level client service
Required Qualifications - Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar admission
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in:
- Estate planning
- Tax planning
- Trust administration
- Experience handling advanced estate and income tax planning
- Strong drafting skills across various trust vehicles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications - LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning
- Background in tax-focused legal practice
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and privately held businesses
- Experience forming business entities drafting governing documents and coordinating tax elections (including S-corp elections)
