Job Summary
Join a dynamic engineering team developing next-generation building systems and advanced materials that make structures safer faster to build and more affordable. This role combines structural engineering material science and hands-on experimentation taking ideas from the lab to real-world application.
Job Description:
- Develop and test advanced construction materials and reinforcement solutions
- Improve structural systems for strength durability and rapid construction
- Conduct laboratory and field testing analyse results and document findings
- Support certification and technical compliance processes
- Collaborate with design and production teams to implement new technologies on site
- (Senior level) Guide research direction and mentor junior team members
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 13 years experience in construction R&D materials or structural innovation
- Hands-on laboratory testing experience
- Knowledge of cementitious and composite materials
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Modelling software BIM/FEM tools or exposure to modular/alternative building methods (Advantageous)
Qualification:
- Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
