Job Summary

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • 2 x Temporary Full-Time employment opportunities until 29th January 2029
  • Located in Turrella with flexible working arrangements subject to prior approval
  • Salary ranges from $99938 to $110271 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The School Sport Business Development Officer supports the delivery and integration of sport initiatives and inclusive participation opportunities across NSW public schools including the Representative School Sport Pathway. The role sits within the School Sport Unit part of the Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate in the Teaching Learning and Student Wellbeing division which delivers state-wide programs that enhance student engagement wellbeing and participation in Arts Sport Community Languages and International Programs. The role works to strengthen partnerships with schools industry specialists and stakeholders to ensure high-quality accessible and engaging sport programs for all students.

Key accountabilities

  • Deliver and integrate sport initiatives and inclusive programs across NSW public schools
  • Manage event schedules live streaming and results for the Representative School Sport Pathway
  • Liaise with schools and associations to ensure accurate data and information
  • Maintain systems records and processes to support efficient operations
  • Resolve complex enquiries and issues to enable timely and effective outcomes

About you

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Hold a valid NSW driver licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
