Job Title: Product Manager
Job Purpose: We are looking for a senior product manager for our growing product team. The product team at EHG is a part of our blulava division and is responsible for moving our product ecosystem forward. This team is responsible for a suite of products within our ecosystem which we call 360Connex a multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem of platforms within which support biotech and pharmaceutical brands on their various marketing and strategic initiatives
Were looking for a seasoned product leader who can be the product owner for one or more of our platforms within the 360Connex ecosystem. (S)He would join our growing team of business/product managers and help shape the product strategy and roadmap for one or more of our platforms making sure it aligns to the overall 360Connex vision. (S)He will play a hands-on role in defining the roadmap gain a deep understanding of our business and platforms help drive process consistency and quality with regards to how the platform roadmap is implemented and delivered work with our internal and client stakeholders to understand business needs and appropriately create refine and manage a prioritized roadmap and work closely with our development partner/teams to deliver based on the prioritized roadmap. The candidate will work closely with the other blulava teams as well as the other Evolution divisions to actively engage clients in showcasing the platform capabilities and features understanding their needs in order to inform the roadmap guide the client and other Evolution teams towards using the platforms capabilities and solutions.
A critical success factor for this role is working within a virtual and partnered environment where members of the development QA and other functions are a combination of internal resources and partner resources geographically distributed across various time-zone
Responsibilities:
  1. Product Strategy & Road mapping
    • Work closely with the client to identify and document business needs translate this need into features/stories which can then be implemented by the development team.
    • Work with the internal services team to understand internal needs balance this with the client needs to then create a prioritized roadmap keeping in mind that we are creating a multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem
    • Actively play a part in design reviews and grooming sessions with the development teams
    • Work with the Project Managers to ensure that any client implementations/configuration timelines keep in mind and are aligned to the roadmap
    • Work with development teams throughout the development process and ensure that the releases are appropriately managed (tested matched to needs launched in a timely manner as defined by the roadmap).
    • Balance short-term needs and customizations with long term platform stability and reusable features
    • Ensure the roadmap decisions enforce and reinforce a configuration first vs a customization first philosophy
    • Defines the product roadmap and delivery sprints in partnership with the development team
  2. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as a primary point of contact for the client and internal stakeholders
    • Understand technical concepts and communicates to client and other internal stakeholders in non-technical language
    • Define Manage and drive trade-offs between custom solutions and configurable platform features
    • Set and manage expectations with clients and internal teams as it relates to delivery timelines efforts scope costs and platform constraints
    • Confident in saying no not yet or here is a better way in order to preserve the vision of a multi-tenant ecosystem
  3. Process Prioritization & Decisioning
    • Own the product backlog and roadmap prioritized with clear prioritization framework
    • Evaluate all requests through the lens of reusability across all tenants platform and architecture impact long term maintenance costs (both platform and resource)
    • Work closely with the development team to define standard ways of defining features tenant level configuration needs role based needs etc
    • Work with Project Management to inform platform related timelines scope etc and help shape the overall implementation timelines
  4. Strategy Growth and Team Coordination
  • Work closely with the head of product to manage team capacity and staffing needs across the 360Connex product portfolio
  • Provide insights and recommendations to drive strategic decisions on the product roadmap based on industry trends
  • Recommendations of Best Practices to adopt as a product organization and help implement the same
  • Stay up to date on new technology that affects our business and technology solutions
  1. Change Management and Product Evangelism
    • Be the subject matter expert for clients about our platforms and ecosystem
    • Champion a product first mindset help internal teams understand product led realities vs service led expectations
    • Create lightweight artifacts (one-pagers decision matrix FAQs etc) to help drive the self-serve nature of our platforms for both internal and external clients
    • Establish and maintain a structured intake and prioritization process to reduce and prevent ad-hoc commitments that bypass roadmap architecture and development feasibility. Ensure appropriate impact analysis is in place to help shape the final decisions in such cases
    • Act as the final arbiter when service urgency conflicts with platform viability and integrity

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in engineering STEM major
  • 7 years product management experience with a good portion in a multi-tenant SaaS platform ecosystem
  • Strong experience in a product management role building product roadmaps for scalable platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client (internal and external) demands without devolving into customizations and custom implementations
  • Strong understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architectures customization vs configuration trade-offs extensible platform patterns and architectures
  • Highly effective cross-functional team management
  • Data drive approach to prioritization decision making and roadmap implementation
  • Ability to evaluate manage and drive long-term platform expectations not just immediate client value
  • Exceptional communications skills comfortable engaging directly with clients and senior stakeholders. Combined with strong writing editing and strong presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving skills with a bias towards scalable solutions
