Bureau Veritas is looking for aLaboratory Analyst Ecotoxicology to join our environmental laboratory in Ste-Foy QC.
Your main responsabilities are:
- Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation;
- Breeding monitoring: algae daphnia ceriodaphnia fathead trout;
- Take care of the maintenance of equipment related to breeding and analyses;
- Maintain one or more systems of aquariums or pools in open systems;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;
- Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data;
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses;
- Provide input to corrective action procedures;
- Ensure deadlines are met;
- Ensure that equipment is appropriately maintained;
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work;
- Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations;
- Keep their work area clean neat and organized;
- Contribute to daily and weekly planning;
- Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or team leader.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Have a diploma in Biology or Bioecology or will be graduating this upcoming Spring;
- Can work independently and as part of a team;
- Have good record keeping skills and attention to detail;
- Are dynamic energetic motivated and have a positive outlook.
