The Assistant Controller & Financial Reporting Director is responsible subject to Controller oversight for the timely and accurate review and delivery of all assigned financial reporting. This includes BSI regulatory reports and BSI international financial reporting to Head Office (BSSA). The position is responsible for the coordination preparation and delivery of accurate and timely annual legal entity audited financial statements including liaison with external auditors. The position is also responsible for reviewing and timely delivery of all IHC report inputs including SEC and US regulatory reporting requirements as assigned by IHC. Lead and/or contribute to projects at the entity level U.S. and Group. The Assistant Controller will assist the Controller in determining proper accounting treatment for new products and/or non-recurring transactions. The Assistant Controller will assist in coaching and training less experienced team members. Consistent with all Finance positions this role is expected to comply with Corporate policies; partnering with other business units to resolve issues; deliver satisfactory results on all audits and examinations; maintaining training; mentoring staff; exemplifying corporate culture; and identifying opportunities for improvement in department functions.

Education:

Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience

Business Experience:

10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency 10 years experience in banking including tax accounting and financial and regulatory reporting

Big 4 Experience required.

Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge:

Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Strong general accounting skills.
Ability to lead influence and direct peers subordinates and management.
Ability to make effective decision making on complex matters.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical organizational and project management skills.
Strong financial analysis modeling and problem-solving.
Ability to effectively communicate complex financial transactions and strategies.
Ability to effectively interact with the market executive management and vendors.
Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closure.

Licenses / Certifications:

CPA Required.

Languages:

English and Spanish.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt) the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills experience training licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$127500.00 USD

Maximum:

$215000.00 USD
