Work set up: Predominantly remote with potential travel for research activities (Active SC additional vetting required)
Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a User Researcher with extensive Public Sector experience and a strong background working within Government Digital Services environments. This role requires active SC clearance and focuses on delivering impactful user research that drives service design improvements informs policy and supports digital transformation initiatives.
What you will do:
- Apply a range of user research methods appropriately across different service lifecycle phases
- Advise teams on the selection and application of suitable research methodologies
- Communicate research insights clearly and impactfully to drive service design improvements and inform policy and propositions
- Establish and embed user-centred design practices within Agile workflows
- Influence and convince senior stakeholders of the value of user-centred approaches using evidence-based findings
- Establish and apply ethical research standards to safeguard the wellbeing of participants and researchers
- Research diverse audiences to support the delivery of accessible and inclusive digital services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including policy operations product delivery system design and user-centred design professionals
- Advocate for user-centred and inclusive design practices across the organisation
- Support development of service strategies and transformation roadmaps
Qualifications :
- Extensive experience as a User Researcher within the Public Sector
- Proven experience working within Government Digital Services environments
- Strong expertise in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Experience embedding user-centred design practices within Agile teams
- Strong ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders through evidence-based research
- Strong understanding of ethical research standards and inclusive research practices
- Experience supporting service strategy and digital transformation initiatives
