Job Summary
Eurofins CDMO Alphora is seeking a motivated Maintenance Facility Technician to join our team and support the safe efficient and reliable operation of our facility. This role is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical installation troubleshooting maintenance and repair activities across site equipment utilities systems and facilities. The successful candidate will work in alignment with established SOPs GMP standards and EH&S policies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all facility utility systems including but not limited to the following: Boiler Chiller HVAC building automation system compressed air boiler system pure steam generator chiller system
- Day shift position with on call requirements
- Respond to off hours emergencies as required and provide essential services coverage during site shutdowns.
- Support start up commissioning and qualification of utility systems
- Perform maintenance procedures according to the established SOP and PM schedule coordinating parts and service as required.
- Coordinate routine maintenance with Operations to ensure that whenever possible maintenance work scheduling does not disrupt production scheduling needs.
- Build & grow existing preventative maintenance program while maintaining a proactive approach to Plant and Equipment maintenance & repair.
- Identify recommend and implement improvements to line procedures equipment utilities systems and/or facilities to enhance the productivity quality or safety of products processes and/or procedures.
- Perform operational checks on equipment and systems. Detect and investigate variance in performance of equipment utilities systems and/ or facilities to ensure proper or enhanced functioning.
- Resolve equipment failure. Isolate issues conduct repair or source external resource to conduct repair.
- Complete required compliance documentation log books timesheets etc. when executing duties.
- Maintain an assortment of common spare parts. recommend and/or initiate purchase orders for parts equipment or spare parts inventory according to Companys purchasing guidelines.
- Complete and maintain current training and awareness of related legislated codes EH&S procedures SOPs and GMP requirements. Complete ongoing training to maintain certification and respond to technology change at the Site as well as improving knowledge of facilities systems and equipment.
Qualifications :
- 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certification TSSA
- 2year College Diploma in engineering or a related technical field
- Open to entrylevel candidates
- Strong teamwork communication and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment
The approximate annual base compensation for this position starts at $65000 CAD (base salary does not include potential shift premiums or overtime). The actual offer reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicants experience knowledge skills and abilities.
