About TheCurrent Open Role

Roy FossAurora Chrysler is looking for a Controller to lead our financial operationsand mentor our accounting team. Using your CPA and Reynolds and Reynolds DMSexpertise you will manage the full accounting cycle and ensure strictcompliance with Stellantis reporting standards. As a strategic partner to ourmanagement team youll oversee internal controls safeguard assets andprovide the financial insights necessary to drive our business forward.

WhatWere Looking For

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable deal posting payroll and inventory control.
  • Utilize Reynolds software to maintain financial records and reporting
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations audit requirements and Chrysler Canada reporting standards.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies to safeguard dealership assets.
  • Collaborate with department managers to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
  • Work closely with external auditors tax advisors and financial institutions.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations floorplan management and cash flow monitoring.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of government filings payroll remittances and HST/GST returns.

WhatYoull Bring

  • Designation preferred: CA CPA
  • Proven experience as a Controller in an automotive dealership.
  • Familiarity with OEM financial reporting requirements and manufacturer incentive programs.
  • Proficiency in Reynolds software for accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use basic formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP pivot tables SUMIF and conditional formatting
  • Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Accounting diploma or degree is a must.
  • CPA designation or equivalent accounting certification is preferred.
