Job Summary
FTC has immediate opportunities for experienced Special Inspectors and Field Engineers to be part of our team.
- Complete assigned inspection as scheduled by dispatch
- Perform scheduled inspection during the time assigned inspect review and submit reports according to NYS DOB code and approved drawings
- Usual schedule is 7am-3:30pm
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
Qualifications :
- NYS PE Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree with field experience
- Ideal candidates must hold certifications from ICC AWS NICET and/or ACI including:
- ICC Commercial or Residential Certification required.
- Technical Associates or Bachelors Degree pertaining to the Engineering field (Civil Mechanical Environmental etc.) a plus.
- Candidates must be familiar with the New York City Building Code
- Ability to read prints and find inspection locations
- Ability to produce inspection reports according to company standards
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Reliable means of transportation necessary.
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards
- Must be punctual reliable with good attention to detail
- Ability to work various shifts
- Ability to travel numerous job sites daily
- Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic
- Able to communicate effectively with a variety of project managers
- Prepare and electronically submit daily reports
- Organized and efficient
- Authorized to work in the U.S with a valid driver license
