Are you a registered Pharmacist ready to step into a senior leadership role within a regulated pharmaceutical distribution environment
Our client is seeking a Deputy Responsible Pharmacists to support and deputise the Responsible Pharmacist within a wholesale and distribution setting. This senior role is critical in ensuring full regulatory compliance quality assurance oversight and operational excellence across the warehouse distribution function.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including SAHPRA Pharmacy Act GDP/GWP and OHS legislation
- Support and deputise the Responsible Pharmacist assuming full responsibility in their absence
- Oversee Quality Management Systems and ensure SOPs are developed reviewed and implemented
- Manage audits CAPAs deviations and non-conformances ensuring timely close-out
- Approve validation protocols technical records and product release documentation
- Supervise storage distribution quarantine recalls reverse logistics and schedule stock management
- Maintain S5 and S6 registers and Section 21 items in accordance with legislation
- Lead risk assessments and quality review meetings with senior stakeholders
- Ensure effective handling of complaints pharmacovigilance reporting and regulatory interactions
- Safeguard premises security and ensure correct record-keeping of pharmaceutical transactions
- Oversee temperature control pest control destruction of medicines and warehouse compliance logs
- Driveongoing GDP/GWP training and ensure staff adherence to standard operating procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)Qualification
- Active registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- 2-3 Years experience as a Pharmacist or Deputy Responsible Pharmacist
- Experience within pharmaceutical wholesale or distribution environment
