Job Summary

Our pharmaceutical client situated in KZN (Durban) is looking for a locum production pharmacist for a 4-month contract.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bpharm Qualification
SAPC Active Registration as Pharmacist
Production Warehousing and Distribution Experience

Key Performance Areas include:

Oversee the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
Ensure production follows approved formulas and batch manufacturing records.
Ensure all processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Follow regulatory guidelines from authorities such as the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority in South Africa.
Monitor product quality during manufacturing.
Ensure products meet required safety efficacy and quality standards.
Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
Review and sign batch manufacturing records.
Maintain accurate production documentation and reports.
Plan and monitor production schedules.
Ensure optimal use of equipment materials and manpower.
Ensure production equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Monitor the cleanliness and compliance of manufacturing areas.
Supervise production staff and technicians.
Train employees on GMP procedures safety protocols and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental policies.
Maintain a safe production environment.
