PAYROLL AND BENEFITS SPECIALIST SRS Aiken SC
Duration: 1 YEAR with Renewal Options

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and daily benefits administration in an on-site work environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and supporting employee benefit programs. The ideal candidate is analytical highly organized and skilled at resolving payroll and benefits issues through to completion.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process payroll on assigned schedules (including bi-weekly cycles)
Manage full-cycle payroll activities including audits reconciliations reporting and tax filings
Administer employee benefits programs including health and welfare plans and retirement plans
Perform benefit billing reconciliations and submit accurate data for timely premium payments
Audit and reconcile quarterly and annual employee tax reports and filings
Maintain payroll and benefits compliance with federal state and local regulations
Follow internal policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits operations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Payroll and Benefits role
Strong understanding of payroll processing and benefits administration practices
Demonstrated math and analytical skills
Working knowledge of ACA COBRA ERISA and basic labor laws
High level of organization and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
