Role Summary

We are seeking a senior Consulting GIS Specialist to lead a federal GIS Service Center supporting enterprise geospatial systems and application development. This role serves as the primary technical and operational lead overseeing GIS architecture ESRI platforms application development and Service Center operations.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of the GIS Service Center including staffing workload planning reporting and compliance.
Architect and develop enterprise GIS applications and web services using ESRI technologies.
Oversee ArcGIS Server ArcGIS Online cloud-hosted GIS services and system configurations.
Coordinate with federal IT teams on security upgrades backups and system performance.
Review GIS deliverables for quality accuracy and adherence to standards and timelines.
Define GIS workflows production standards and quality assurance processes.
Forecast service center capacity and recommend hardware/software upgrades.
Mentor GIS specialists and oversee training.
Ensure compliance with federal security and data governance standards.
