We are looking for enthusiastic and creative Elementary teachers to teach during the 2026-2027 school year. Positions may be in upper or lower elementary description: To create a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continuing education in accordance with each students ability; to establish/foster healthy relationships with parents and other staff responsibilities:Curriculum/PlanningAnnually prepare/update/submit a curriculum map that includes all state standards and material covered on state assessmentsCollaborate with other teachers in your content area to vertically align all curriculum maps to ensure all students success in your content areaImplement the district curriculum provided by the curriculum teamsInstruction/LessonsPresent lessons that are engaging relevant and align with the submitted curriculum mapModify/Adjust instruction based upon classroom assessment data to ensure mastery of conceptsModify instructional practices/routines in accordance with students IEP 504 ELL or Gifted identificationsAssessments/ClassworkUse both formal and informal assessments throughout each lessonAssign classwork/homework regularly that reviews or prepares for the lessonUse a variety of instructional strategies such as inquiry group discussions lecture discovery and instructional aides to engage students in active learningClassroom ManagementCreate a positive educational climate for studentsImplement a positive behavior reward systemFollow all PPA policies to help ensure uniformity of the programProfessional DevelopmentObserve and collaborate with other teachers in the building multiple times throughout the year for mutual growth/development in accordance with the peer observation programAttend professional development opportunities throughout the school year or summer for your continuous improvementReflect and evaluate lessons/policies/practices oftenAdditional ItemsBuild a relationship with students and parents so that they know you want only the best for the studentMaintain strong collaborative relationships with teachers instructional support staff and supportive of the PPA team at all times but especially when speaking to parents and studentsPatriot Preparatory Academy began in 2010 as a K-12 public charter school.
