What Youll Do as a SUD Case Manager
- Participating in staff meetings and education groups
- Using modalities like Motivational Interviewing CBT and Relapse Prevention
- Creating goals teaching coping skills and coordinating services
- Providing ongoing case management and recovery support
- Conducting intake assessments using ASAM criteria
- Determining treatment levels of care
- Assisting with access to Medication-Assisted Treatment
- Advocating for client rights and helping clients build community supports
- Communicating effectively in writing and verbally
- Collaborating with legal systems and related agencies
- Accurately implementing and documenting service plans
Qualifications
Applicants must meet ONE of the following:
Note: Applicants under the working toward SUDC or SSW pathway must obtain their SUDC or SSW license within 24 months of hire.
- Associates degree and SUDC license
- Bachelors degree and SUDC ASUDC or SSW license
- Bachelors degree in any field and actively completing required coursework to obtain SSW licensure within 24 months of hire (required courses: Social Welfare Policy Human Growth & Development Social Work Practice & Methods)
Additional Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- Substance Use Treatment experience preferred
- Spanish speakers may qualify for increased wages after testing

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
