Job Description:

Lylli was created in 2020 from a simple belief: to bring the magic of reading to the digital world - and create the next generation of readers. To do so were building a new kind of reading experience where high-quality childrens books storytelling and technology come together to spark imagination creativity and a lifelong love of reading.

With ambitious plans to launch in the US and expand into more markets our goal is to build the worlds best reading service for kids - and help millions of children discover the joy of reading.

What will you work on
The Business Development Assistant will support a global team in a fast-paced position that requires the ability to juggle busy calendars complex projects and cross-functional initiatives while also coordinating follow-ups and engaging with publishing and book partners to ensure seamless workflow and will amplify speed and business results. The team is spread across North America and European time zones.

How will you create impact

  • Manage three executives calendars schedule appointments prepare meeting materials and ensure executives are on time and well-prepared for every day of the year and for key tradeshow events and such
  • Help with administrative tasks such as arrange travel accommodation and compile documents for travel-related meetings
  • Assist in management of the team including vacation requests expenses and other approvals
  • Prepare all materials for executives in advance of meetings and presentations and when possible participate the meetings
  • Track and coordinate cross-functional projects including content and publishing-related initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between executives and internal teams within the Lylli ecosystem.
  • Maintain organized files documentation and databases and contact databases (e.g. publishers partners)
  • Act as custodian of corporate documents and records
  • Receive on-the-job training mentorship and ongoing development opportunities to build expertise and take on new business initiatives
  • Serve as a point of contact with external vendors partners and publisher


What are your skills and experience

  • Strong time management organization people and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask prioritize a high-volume workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated good judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient in Gmail Suite (Slides docx spreadsheet gmail) and Figma (or similar) and MS Office. Comfortable in preparing presentation material for other people.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a structured autonomous manner
  • Experience supporting content publishing or creative teams is an asset

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Toronto is $65000 to $80000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job years of experience within the required industry education etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
