Job Summary

A high-achieving and forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join their successful Science faculty. This is a full-time permanent position starting ASAP and is suitable for experienced teachers and ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a strong Physics specialism.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach A-Level Physics at KS5. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity analytical thinking and a deep understanding of scientific principles.

You will play a key role in supporting students through GCSE and A-Level examinations developing practical investigative skills and promoting participation in STEM initiatives. The department places strong emphasis on high-quality practical work and real-world application of scientific theory.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Physics across KS3/4 and potentially KS5

Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
Support STEM enrichment activities and school initiatives

Requirements

Degree in Physics or a closely related discipline
QTS or PGCE
Experience teaching secondary Physics (ECTs welcome)
Strong classroom management and subject knowledge
Passion for inspiring students in STEM subjects

Salary

MPS/UPS (dependent on experience).
