The Role

• Preparing equipment materials and chemicals for practical lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Supporting complex practical investigations and demonstrations

• Ensuring safe storage handling and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations

• Maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating repairs where required

• Managing stock control and ordering supplies efficiently

• Assisting teaching staff during practical sessions when necessary

• Maintaining accurate compliance risk assessment and safety documentation

• Supporting whole-department organisation and preparation for examination practicals

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a Science Technician or laboratory-based role

• Strong understanding of laboratory health & safety and COSHH procedures

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Confidence supporting practical work at GCSE and A Level

• The ability to prioritise workload in a busy school environment

• A proactive reliable and professional approach
