Our client a multi-discipline engineering firm is seeking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer. This role can be based out of one of the following offices: Atlanta GA; Jacksonville FL; Raleigh NC; or Charleston SC.

Position OverviewThe Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design analysis and implementation of electrical systems across a variety of project types. This role provides advanced technical leadership mentors engineering staff and serves as a senior technical resource within the electrical discipline. The position leads discipline efforts on medium to large projects and may also serve as a project manager on select assignments.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical discipline design for medium to large projects with limited Revit use
Delegate complex technical tasks and provide oversight to ensure design quality
Review and approve advanced designs calculations and simulations
Review high-level product submittals and shop drawings
Prepare detailed responses to complex RFIs
Conduct targeted site visits to resolve critical field issues
Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation
Participate in project meetings as a senior technical advisor
Ensure project delivery meets schedule quality and budget requirements
Develop and adjust project work plans based on scope changes
Mentor engineers at all levels and support technical development
Provide leadership support to project and discipline teams
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in the AEC industry
Healthcare project experience strongly preferred
Expertise in multiple electrical engineering software platforms
Advanced knowledge of industry codes standards and QA/QC procedures
Proven experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
Strong commitment to staff development and technical excellence
Excellent client-facing presentation and communication skills
Strong technical writing ability including proposal contributions
Acts as a technical advisor and mentor to electrical engineers assigned to projects
May seal and sign project documents where licensed
Responsible for training technical guidance and quality oversight of electrical deliverables
Hybrid work environment primarily office-based
Periodic site visits required for field troubleshooting
Adherence to all applicable safety protocols
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use standard office equipment
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs
Site visits may require climbing ladders navigating uneven terrain and exposure to outdoor conditions
