Job Summary

Authorization Required:	No
Specific Responsibilities of this Position:	Champion safe test setup for battery assemblies and related components. This includes defining and performing procedures and checks to ensure test results are delivered on-time and with quality. Develop and manufacture special purpose instrumentation cable and wiring assemblies laboratory test equipment and fixtures related to testing of battery assemblies or related components Perform physical duties involving large and heavy high voltage batteries including movement shipping and disposal Maintain records on work performed including data collected or analyzed Maintain awareness of Business Plan Deployment goals and objectives identify and suggest relevant opportunities for improvement Develop implement and sustain workplace organization practices Maintain and communicate findings with engineering personnel through verbal or written means Recommend revisions to product or component design as needed Conduct or assist with Safety and Abuse testing as needed Conduct or assist with detailed teardown and analysis of battery cells modules and packs Conduct or assist with vibration testing including working above 6 ft and using cranes and rigging to move high voltage properties Able to successfully complete all required UAW GM training courses including respirator cranes/hoist Lockout etc.
Work Site Description:
Preferred Work Schedule:	11Am to 7:30pm Monday to Friday
Physical Required:	Fit For Work Required Candidate Requirements Degrees or certifications required Years of experience required Technologies/depth of technologies required Any preferred schools/companies Education Requirement: High School Diploma Years of experience: at least 2 years with some type of mechanical experience but the manager is open to someone who is right out of school has knowledge of basic hand tools and how to use them and they will be trained Skills: Basic mechanical skills Preference: Willingness to learn GM systems over extensive experience Top 3 must-have hard skills Level of experience with each Stack-ranked by importance 1 Perform physical duties involving large and heavy high voltage batteries including movement shipping and disposal 2 Maintain records on work performed including data collected or analyzed 3 Maintain and communicate findings with engineering personnel through verbal or written means
