Soccer Shots East County San Diego LLC is a team of passionate individuals who are world changers bringing social-emotional skill development to children aged 18 months to 10 years old through the game of soccer. The high-quality and high-energy soccer classes run weekly throughout East and South San Diego. We proudly serve and partner with Preschools Elementary Schools and Public Parks serving thousands of families every week. We offer a fun supportive culture where team members gain real-world experience while making a meaningful impact in the community.
About the Role:
Join Soccer Shots as a Sales & Marketing Intern and gain hands-on experience in both marketing and on-field coaching. This is a hybrid position combining marketing and sales responsibilities with coaching 512 soccer sessions per week. Youll support outreach lead generation and brand visibility effortswhile also leading engaging sessions with children ages 18 months to 10 years old. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants real-world experience in marketing and enjoys working with kids in an active high-energy environment.
Sales & Marketing Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote Soccer Shots programs
- Engage with potential customers through social media and community outreach
- Support lead generation and follow up on inquiries
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities
- Create promotional content and marketing materials
- Help plan and execute local events and community partnerships
- Track campaign performance and assist with reporting
- Collaborate with the team on new marketing ideas
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Coach 512 soccer sessions per week
- Substitute for coaches as needed
- Lead fun structured and engaging sessions for children (ages 18 months10 years)
- Maintain a safe positive and high-energy environment
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing Business or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable engaging with both customers and children
- Willingness and availability to coach 512 sessions per week
- High energy and ability to lead and interact with groups of children
- Organized reliable and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Familiarity with social media and digital marketing tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Previous internship or experience in sales marketing or customer-facing roles
- Interest in youth sports community engagement or event marketing
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
