Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform top-quality maintenance and repairs on our University aircraft this role youll work with minimal oversight following all Federal Aviation Regulations and industry standards to ensure the airworthiness of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform authorized maintenance preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs on aircraft engines and appliances.
  • Assist the Shift Lead with maintenance operations and inventory control.
  • Complete documentation for maintenance forms inspection reports and aircraft logbooks.
  • Respond to maintenance needs promptly including on weekends and holidays as required.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations approved inspection programs and airworthiness standards.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • High school (or GED) level ability in spelling grammar basic composition and math.
  • Read and comprehend instructions write information and complete simple forms.
  • Current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required with no violations.
  • One to three years of related work experience.

Required skills knowledge abilities:

  • Working knowledge of FAR 145 91 and 43.
  • Aircraft Maintenance experience in maintaining light general aviation aircraft preferred.
  • Basic PC Software Skills (e.g. spreadsheet word processing & database etc.)
  • PowerPoint Word Outlook/email and Internet end-user applications preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
